Forgot to add...

I forgot to add on my last post....when we were talking to the gentleman on the mountain, he mentioned that some people think that Lourdes is too commercial and tacky.  He said that with so many pilgrims coming to the site, there has to be enough lodging and ways to feed all the people.  He also said that people like to bring material things back with them (hence the merchandise).  It is a way for them to bring Lourdes home with them (or take Lourdes to someone who did not go).  It was interesting he said this because that was our theory as well.
